Connecting with… Customers
UPS wanted a 20’x20’ booth inspired by the theme “Connecting,” which is what they do with and for customers every day. They also wanted their booth to be “outside the box.” Since cardboard is a common UPS material, we used that as a fundamental design element. In their space they wanted a whiteboard surface, giant connect 4 games, lounge and charging areas, and a registration booth.
Connecting with… Cardboard
Inspired by the cardboard design concept, we fulfilled our seating requirements with cardboard furniture from Charigami. A glossy printed floor showed the cardboard texture in only 2 corners. We did this to allow the other cardboard items to really pop against the white flooring. Charging squids were placed throughout the environment. The cardboard’s hollow structure made running cords easy for the installers. We accented the cardboard with “this end up” arrows and other packaging decals for the mise-en-scène. In keeping with the being green whenever possible, and subtly highlighting the recyclable nature of cardboard, the majority of the booth was made from reusable and recyclable materials.
